Fall Bucket List

There’s no denying it anymore, folks! We’ve had our first October weekend, which means fall has officially begun. (I realize that it already “officially/technically” had started, but I hold on to summer for as long as possible!) As far as seasons go, summer is my favorite, winter is a very close second, and fall is a respectable third! (Sorry spring, you’re pretty and all, but you’re basically just the stepping stone to summer.)

So with the new fall colors, and the cute boots and leggings, and the apple pickings and pumpkin patches in full force, there are plenty of reasons to get outside and enjoy this amazing season!ย  Continue reading

Fitness in the Fall

As much as I want to hold on to summer…. I think it’s time I admit that fall is officially here. September is my transition month, but there’s no denying it once October hits. The air is crisp and cooler, but the sky is still bright blue. The leaves are turning yellow and orange, but the sky is still bright blue. The days are feeling shorter, but the sky is still bright blue. And a bright blue sky is too inviting to stay indoors all day! And because of all of that, fall is the perfect time to keep up a fitness routine outside.ย The bright blue sky is deceiving though. Sometimes it’s colder than it looks, and sometimes it’s warmer than it looks. Time to bust out the fun fall fitness layers!ย  Continue reading

Momentum Monday #3

What a great weekend that was! Beautiful fall weather, continued progress on my projects, fun family time, fun gatherings with friends, and the Seahawks win! No complaints here ๐Ÿ™‚

And now here we are, another Momentum Monday! Now that September is coming to a close, and I’ve got a few Momentum Mondays under my belt, I’ve noticed that some of my weekly goals might be a little far-reaching for what I can actually accomplish in a week’s worth of “free time” when I have a baby and a toddler to care for full time. And I don’t want to feel like I’m not making any progress if I don’t complete a goal by the end of the week, so I am going to change it up a bit and set one huge goal for the month of October and use my Momentum Monday posts to share my weekly progress updates towards that overall huge goal. We’ll see how this goes! Continue reading

Blue Friday Favorites!

Go Hawks!! Today’s Friday Favorites are all about the Seattle Seahawks! Here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, we all have some good football fun on Blue Fridays – which is hopefully every Friday from here on out through the Super Bowl! Fun Fact: my girl Zara (born Thanksgiving Day 2013) doesn’t know a Super Bowl without the Seahawks in it. This year, we’re going for three in a row! ๐Ÿ™‚ (It doesn’t help that we’re starting the season 0-2, but moving on…) Let’s celebrate some Blue Friday Favorites…. In the spirit of the 12s (what Seahawks fans are called), I’ve got 12 Seahawks Blue Friday Favorites!ย GO HAWKS!! Continue reading

Car Funnies!

I came across a fun blog this week (shout out to Amanda at Meet @ the Barre!), and she wrote a hilarious post about a couple of funny driving stories from when she was younger. Seriously funny! Read it if you want a good laugh. Her post reminded me of a couple of funny car stories of my own from back in the day, and I had a good laugh at my younger self as well. Jeremy and I had just talked about one of these… he didn’t know me back then, but he sure gets a kick out of hearing about some of my younger antics.

I consider myself a great driver (now), but I’ll be the first to admit that I made some ridiculous decisions as a new driver. And here I am, sharing a few of the doozies on my blog. Enjoy!ย  Continue reading

Momentum Monday #2

It’s just another Manic Monday! Is it just me or is time just flying by?! I can’t believe it’s already been three Mondays since my last (and first!) Momentum Monday post. But just because I haven’t posted about them, doesn’t mean that I haven’t been working on them! I’ve actually been so busy with all of my never ending pile of projects that I just haven’t had time to sit down and write. But (hopefully!) that all changes now…
