It’s just another Manic Monday! Is it just me or is time just flying by?! I can’t believe it’s already been three Mondays since my last (and first!) Momentum Monday post. But just because I haven’t posted about them, doesn’t mean that I haven’t been working on them! I’ve actually been so busy with all of my never ending pile of projects that I just haven’t had time to sit down and write. But (hopefully!) that all changes now…
Summer 2015 was fantastic. (I’m sad to say it in the past-tense, so let’s just move on from that quickly!) I was pregnant for half the summer and have had my newborn for the second half. Obviously it has been wonderful and amazing and awesome (etc etc etc) since he has been born, but my #1 most memorable favorite moment of the summer was just hours before he was born. I know the exact moment that was my absolute favorite, and it is one that I will never forget!
Hello Monday! New week, new start, new goals… and a new idea for my blog. Enter Momentum Mondays! I’m going to start off the week with a blog post detailing a new goal for the week, whether it be related to a fitness goal, a family plan, a nextpiration project, a house decor idea, a new recipe to try, etc. It will be something that I’ve been thinking about for awhile or something that just came to me over the weekend, but something that I want to tackle for the week ahead. And hopefully during the week or at least by the end of the week, I’ll have an update on it!
Well hello, last Wednesday of August 🙂 It’s time for another fun What’s Up Wednesday post link-up with Mel, Shay, and Sheaffer. The start of September is a lot of things for me – this year, September 1 is my official 11-year anniversary with Jeremy of becoming boyfriend-girlfriend (2004), our 6-year anniversary of me saying “yes!” to his proposal in Hawaii (2009), and the month of September to me is the official start of fall, football, and leg warmers season! Let the fun begin!
So I am not a big reality show watcher. I’ve never watched any of the singing competition shows – American Idol, The Voice, American’s Got Talent…. nope, never seen them. I’ve never watched any of the dating shows – The Bachelor, The Bachelorette… nope, not for me. But there are two reality shows that I simply must watch every season they are on – and those are Big Brother and The Challenge. These two shows are on my DVR list to stay. And Big Brother is airing right now, and it is on three times a week – not including Big Brother After Dark, which I don’t have time to keep up on, but I admit I’ll have it on in the background sometimes at night when I’m reading or blogging. 😉 I consider Big Brother and The Challenge to be my “guilty pleasures” because I don’t know too many people who also watch them, meaning I don’t have too many people to discuss them with. And I’ve definitely never blogged about them, but I’m feeling compelled to blog about this week’s BB episodes! Continue reading
What a weekend indeed! We didn’t do much. But it was great! It was gray and rainy, which it hasn’t been here in the Pacific Northwest in months, and it was our first weekend without Hayden here for quite some time, and we didn’t have too much planned. So, for two days in a row, we had…. wait for it…. family nap time! And it was amazing. Continue reading
This is my first Friday Favorites post! My heart is just overwhelmed with love and happiness right now, so I thought it is time to share some favorites now that my family of five is complete with an awesome husband, amazing stepson, hilarious toddler, and sweet newborn. I’ve been reading and loving all of the Friday Favorite posts by Andrea, Narci, and Erika for months now, so now it’s time for me to join the fun and post my favorites of the week!
Dear Baby Boy,
Well you sure have taken “tiffany time” to a whole new level! We thought your big sister was late when she was born 8 days overdue, and we thought for sure that you wouldn’t wait that long. But here we are, 12 days past your due date, and you are still hanging out in there. The good news… we finally figured out your pregnancy nickname! Casual Carl 🙂
The Pacific Northwest has been having quite the heat wave this summer already. It has been the hottest month of June in recent years, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to start cooling off any time soon. And we’ve been loving it! Hayden, Zara, and I have been in or near the water every day, every chance we get. Hayden is usually in the water for most of the picture opportunities, so here are Zara’s tips on how to beat the heat:
