Momentum Monday #2

It’s just another Manic Monday! Is it just me or is time just flying by?! I can’t believe it’s already been three Mondays since my last (and first!) Momentum Monday post. But just because I haven’t posted about them, doesn’t mean that I haven’t been working on them! I’ve actually been so busy with all of my never ending pile of projects that I just haven’t had time to sit down and write. But (hopefully!) that all changes now…

monday

My first Momentum Monday post was a great one, a fun one, and the update on it is coming very soon, I promise. I was making great progress on it that week, and then I hit a few funny snags with it, and then our Labor Day weekend trip snuck up on me. And our Labor Day weekend trip was supposed to be a 2-day getaway, but it turned into a 5-day road trip, which means 7 days away from real life if you count the packing day before and the unpacking day after.

So here we are, Momentum Monday #2! With the changing seasons, and my growing babies, this week’s big project is an obvious one. I have got to tackle my kids’ clothes. Gavin (2 months) has long since outgrown all newborn sizes, and the 3 months sizes are quickly becoming snug on him too. Even though he probably only wore about half of it all, it’s time to swap those on out and move in the 6 months clothes. (Cue the teardrop rolling down my cheek.) And while Zara (21 months) is not growing as fast as her brother, it’s time to clear out her closet too. She’s got a lot of summer clothes that it’s getting too cold for now, and she won’t fit into next summer, so it’s time for those to go! So I’ve got to sort through all of these clothes and separate them into:

  • Specific ones to give away to friends
  • Cool ones to consign
  • Just okay – ones to donate
  • Not-okay – ones to trash

And while I’m at it, I might as well go through my closet too! I’ve got maternity clothes that are no longer ever needed in this house (another teardrop rolls down my face), and summer clothes to put away in bins, and fall/winter clothes to bring out from those bins. Fun, fun, fun! I am excited to be reunited with all of my leg warmers. 🙂

Hopefully I can get this huge clothes project completed this week so I can get back to the more fun ones. I’ll see you on the other side of the mountain of laundry I’m facing!

What are your goals this week? Tackle them hard, then reward yourself later! GO!!
